Overall, Folketrygdfondet outperformed the market by 0.4 percentage points in 2019. The fund’s active management strategy has generated more than NOK 30 billion since 2007.
Folketrygdfondet is a major shareholder in companies on the Oslo Stock Exchange, with a mandate to deliver the highest possible return over time.
“Responsible, sustainable investment plays a central role in our investment follow-up. We monitor our portfolio companies closely and actively support value creation,” says Kjetil Houg.
The equities portfolio achieved a return of 18% in 2019, beating the market by 0.4 percentage points. The return on the fixed-income portfolio was 4%, also 0.4 percentage points above the market return.
