Folketrygdfondet, as a state special law company, is covered by the Freedom of Information Act (Act relating to the right of access to documents held by public authorities and public undertakings) § 2.

Our public record journal is available after the information in the journal has been quality assured in relation to relevant confidentiality provisions.

Requests for access to documents will be processed as quickly as we can, but please note that a few days of processing time must be expected. Any refusals will be justified with information about the legal basis for the refusal.

Please note that documents concerning Folketrygdfondet's capital management through the Government Pension Fund Norway and the Government Bond Fund are exempt from public access through the Public Regulations §1 third paragraph b. It is stated here that the Public Access to Information Act does not apply to "documents related to asset management at legal entities that have such management as their purpose".
